The Daniel Boone SWCD seeks to educate Lee County residents about their rivers and streams. Our goal is to facilitiate the general public’s awareness of the aquatic resources available to them, the endangered species that live in their watershed, and water quality issues affecting our county. We seek to protect and enhance our waterways in order to provide Lee Countians with clean drinking water and suitable recreation areas.
Daniel Boone SWCD employs a part-time education coordinator who provides outreach education to the entire Powell River watershed and all of Lee County.
